Reminiscences of home2006-11-14 14:16:35jcorner

Thanks much for including my biography details with my poem. I'm very excited about the publication [the JI?] because of Joplin being very dear to me. My grandparents and parents were born in the vicinity of Joplin and Springfield. They have passed now, but my brother Bud Corner served as president of the Webb City school board for several years and was a well-known hair cutter there for well over 30 years. He was downtown on the passage of highway 66. He is retired now, but my brother Doug is an architect with offices in the building next to Bud's. Also, my step-dad was plumbing and steam-fitting super in the original buildings of what is now Missouri Southern University.
