It is amazing. We had a governor, John Ashcroft, who was in favor of increasing "sin taxes" (tobacco and alcohol), until he ran for president. He started his campaign in South Carolina. Since then, he and all Republicans in MO have been against tobacco taxes. Strange what a campaign will do to our thinking.
