A.G. Jay Nixon queried on litter control issue2006-08-06 13:09:37mariwinn

Mark Adams of Neosho, a spokesperson for clean water, has sent a short note to Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon asking him his opinion on HR 4321 or SB 3681, proposed legislation in Congress that would remove manure as a hazardous substance, pollutant or contaminant. Adams asks Nixon if a bill on this issue were to become law, whether he would challenge it on behalf of the citizens of Missouri. We hope to be able to share Nixon's response although we have found the attorney general's office to be very selective in its reponses, disregarding many serious requests for information, something we consider not a good practice especially in an election year.
