THE LAST TIME RELIGION CONTROLLED POLITICS, PEOPLE GOT BURNED AT THE STAKE! Just something to consider.
I thought the governor was leaning toward keeping stem cell research in the state. Was this show for pro-life and taxpayer assistance his way of appeasing his pro-life supporters yet taking a stand that keeps millions of dollars in research investments in our state, for instance? Even former U.S. Senator John C. Danforth says he can be pro-life yet support the Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative put on the November 2006 ballot by others favoring this valuable research that may save more lives than the act of squelching pro-choice. Will you support research to extend life? And will the governor in spite of the heat he takes from seriously misguided politicians? I hope so. Not everyone in the state rallies around the group in Joplin displaying a cocky show of support for pro-life and what they seem to consider only "Christian" values.
