Reynolds County Circuit Judge William Camm ruled May 22, 2007, that the Department of Natural Resources will not be allowed to intervene in the lawsuit filed by Attorney General Jay Nixon over the Taum Sauk reservoir collapse. The DNR had claimed it had the legal authority to settle the matter because it related to clean water issues and a state park. The ruling comes after Nixon said he won't seek criminal charges against AmerenUE.
