Now that I have read H.B. 1955 and it is worse than the bantering at the "Huffington Post." I have called Harman's, Liebermann's, and McCaskill's offices so far. McCaskill's person indicated they had heard from a lot of folks about this and that McCarthy/HUAC was a common item brought up as a comparison after I mentioned HUAC [House Un-American Activities Committee]. At least others are thinking about this realistically. McCaskill is on the Homeland Security Committee and her office said they are studying it. Liebermann'slegislative person said that likely it will not be brought up in committee until the first of the year, after the holiday break...Talking about the bill, Sec 899B (2) indicates that the promotion of violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism and ideologically based violence exists in the US and poses a threat. See definitions of such in Sec.899A. So upon examining and reporting on the facts and causes of (Sec.899C) individual or "lone wolf" violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism and ideologically based violence and other faces of the phenomena that the commission considers important you think these commissioners might want to hear about the beginnings of a "lone wolf" homegrown terrorist who mentioned to other citizens about burning down a corporate CAFO facility as the only way to stop it? Hmmmmmmmmmm.... And maybe we need to severely restrict the Internet as well, see Sec 899B (3)...I've got the names and addresses of a few local folks who have told me that all Democrats should be rounded up and shot because Democrats are ruining the country and hate America. So what will this commission do? Get to the bottom of the Democrat Threat that is inciting social change or have a chat with those who incite mass murder? I'll turn in those who want to kill all Dems( on religious grounds due to that commandment thingy) and the Rebublicans can turn in all Dems. What a ride. Options are endless. Read the bill and imagine the possibilities.
