The Newton County Office of Emergency Management and the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources are advising all Newton County residents outside of the city limits of Neosho to burn all untreated lumber and vegetative material. Burn piles should be at least 300 feet from any structure. All other debris sould be placed near the side of the road but not on or blocking it; all debris should be placed by the side of the road by residents living within city limits.
