Eat ribs at Jim Bob's2007-07-24 01:14:07mariwinn

They may be bringing back the dishes by name but not the authenticity that made Travettis a popular restaurant for lovers of Italian cuisine. We thought we'd sample a couple. While the chicken marsala was served with a reasonably tasty sauce, it didn't come served over pasta; somehow the suggestion of choosing a baked potato sounded bizarre. We did choose broccoli, and it admittedly was just the right consistency. Our second choice of chicken piccata was a huge mistake. What arrived was fried chicken tenders drowned in lemon sauce and served over what tasted like overcooked egg noodles. The chicken marsala needed the fettucine cooked al dente and the chicken piccata should have been made with the same chicken breasts as the marsala dish. Jim Bob's decor is Tex Mex; they play country music. We suggest they stick to their signature dish of all you can eat ribs. BTW, somebody suggested that Bella Peppers is serving what Jim Bob's has failed to re-create.
