Regardless, gay youth have always been within the youth membership - riddled with a slow drip of molestation scandals for too much of the 20th century.
The practice at issue is still in effect for openly homosexual adults who desire to be part of the leadership that may shape the minds of the youth.
While the youth may come as they are, for adults it remains an all too common practice of shaming and excluding homosexuals and homosexuality.
Parents for the march of equality need to ask themselves if this change in policy meets the letter and the spirit of the value of individual equality?
