Interesting article by Dr.Timme. One small error however that I would like to comment on. Dr.Timme states that:"cuttings were sent to France to be grafted on their rootstock (still done today)." It should be that noble European grape varieties were grafted onto native disease-resistant American rootstock. Not the other way around....we will be toasting the New Year with real Champagne. Happy New year!!
