Just one small scab2008-12-14 09:51:44mambo

AMERICA FIRST???? or just GET A SPINE!!!! This 14 billion bridge loan for the Big 3 is just one small scab on the torso-smothering smallpox that is our system of money/lobbyists/legislative/executive/military/industrial complex were are living under today. Instead of just picking at one small scab maybe we might want to take care of the disease firt. What the Republican Senator Corker from Nissan wanted was for the assembly plant workers for the US companies to cut their wages even lower, even though the US auto workers now make less that the foreign auto workers. See this 2007 article: http://www.aftermarketnews.com/Item/28594/uaw_losing_pay_edge_foreign_automakers_bonuses_boost_wages_in_us_plants_as_detroit_car_companies_struggle.aspx The worst offense seems to be that foreign companies are influencing our elected officials even more than our domestic companies as evidenced by the fact that the Big 3 bridge loan failed. So how sincere does the Republicans campaign slogan "America First" sound now? How about this MapLight person getting real serious and coughing up his spleen about multi trillion givaways such as the Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, Help America Vote Act of 2002, Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 and Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008(700 billion giveaway to Wall Street with minimal oversight). Rocky: Hey Bullwinkle, we're in real trouble now! Bullwinkle: Oh good, Rocky! I hate that artificial kind!
