It's sad that Sen. Stouffer thinks the only way he can make his case is by citing bogus numbers from industry front groups. Groups like Heritage and NBCC have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Big Oil and are now dutifully doing their bidding, trying to keep our same old failed energy policies in place. Much more reliable numbers come from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which estimates the American Clean Energy and Security (ACES) Act will cost only about a postage stamp a day while creating new, good-paying clean energy jobs.
