On August 16, 2015 at 9:48 a.m. officers with the Joplin Police Department were dispatched to 1801 Campbell Parkway in reference an assault in progress.

Responding officers located two males on the south side of the complex. The victim and suspect were both transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Both are in stable condition.

It has been determined that the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim defended himself with a bat. The investigation is ongoing.
