Program provides help for first time home buyers abuening
Updated: 2011-08-26 10:42:36
The Economic Security Corp. invites the general public living in Newton, Jasper, Barton or McDonald counties to apply for openings in the Missourians Building Assets Program. The agency has five openings for assistance in making a down payment on a first home. Qualified candidates must meet income guidelines--200% over poverty level.

For every dollar a buyer is able to provide for a downpayment on the purchase of a home, the agency will match with two dollars, up to a maximum of $2,000. For example, if the buyer is able to provide the maximum of $2,000, the match amount will bring the total to $6,000 for a down payment.

For more information contact Suzanne Becker at (417) 451-2206, Ext. 102.
