| 2006 Tribute in Light | admin | | Updated: 2006-09-21 22:48:42 |  | | | Commemorating the fifth anniversary of the World Trade Center attack, at sundown on September 11, 2006, the "Tribute in Light" returned for one night. Located at West and Morris streets in Lower Manhattan, New York, the lights memorialize those lost and are a representation of the spirit of the community. The two large searchlights located where the twin towers of the World Trade Center once stood project their light straight up into the sky and on clear nights can be seen many miles away.
