Permitting required for wastewater projects admin2
Updated: 2006-09-26 15:17:21
Any citizen of Newton County in Missouri needing the installation of a new wastewater system or repairs to an existing system is advised to make sure that the plumber or installer bidding on the work presents a copy of his state registration card and a Newton County Health Department registration card before beginning any work. This reminder was made by Roger Brock, the environmental public health supervisor for the division of the Newton County Health Department that adopted these measures.

To do work on a wastewater system without a license or health department registration is in violation of the ordinance and is subject to penalties outlined in it.

For further information or to receive a list of registered installers in Newton County, contact the environmental division of the health department at (417) 451-6549. The offices of the health department are open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays and are located at 812 West Harmony St., Neosho.
