Randy Lepper, president and CEO of Mid-America Precision Products (MAPP), is accepting the Small Business of the Year Award from Lynn Taylor, Y-12 Small Business Advocate of the Year. The ceremony took place last August during the 2006 Annual Socioeconomic Programs Awards Luncheon held in Oak Ridge, TN, the home of the Y-12 Security Complex. The luncheon honored local and small businesses and small business advocates for outstanding performance.
The Y-12 National Security Complex is operated by BWXT Y-12 for the National Nuclear Security Administration. Y-12 plays a vital role in the Department of Energy’s Nuclear Weapons Complex.
MAPP was recognized for their outstanding contributions for their role in supporting BWXT Y-12 in 2005. Lepper commented, “Fifty percent of Y-12’s small business dollars awarded go to companies in Tennessee. It is quite an honor for a Missouri company to win this award.” In addition to the award, MAPP also received a Letter of Appreciation for their support and contributions in 2005.
