Calling all bachelor farmers who want to be on TV
November 05, 2006

Fremantle Media North America, one of America's foremost producers of reality-based entertainment programming for television has issued a casting call for single bachelors who are farmers. Representatives of the Santa Monica based FMNA are traveling around the country to find a star for a new series called "The Farmer Wants a Wife". The new show, they say, will be based upon an overseas hit TV show that matches a spirited farmer, who doesn't have much time to meet women with a handful of available ladies from all walks of life who dream of living a traditional, small town lifestyle.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, producers will be at the Joplin Regional Stockyards (exit 22 of I-44) to interview farmers in their mid 20s to 30s who are single and looking to meet the right girl. "We’re looking for: hard-working, fun-loving, family-oriented, and who love the traditional, small-town way of life," said Kimberly Prince, casting associate.
