House Speaker Rod Jetton (R-Marble Hill), at left, recently named Rep. Ed Emery (R-Lamar), at right, to chair the Missouri House Committee on Utilities. This committee is responsible for all bills relating to the development, uses and regulation of utilities, communications and technology and the development, use and conservation of energy and other energy-related concerns, environmental impact and pollution and public health and safety as it relates to the issue of energy.
