How many men does it take to remove a leaf pile? admin2
Updated: 2007-03-27 16:19:18
A JI photographer couldn't resist taking a picture of the workforce needed to finally pick up these leaves. The pile was considerably smaller, the homeowner said, who raked the leaves into it. The first request to the Joplin Public Works Dept. for a leaf pick-up was made by the homeowner at the end of 2006. The second phone call at the end of March 2007 was a charm. Unfortunately, the photographer couldn't capture all the men needed to do this job. There were two more, or a total of five. One drove the leaf suction truck that finally showed up to pick up a worker and to remove the leaves that the crew eventually had raked into the street, another drove a white truck that eventually picked up the remainder of the crew.
