Proceeds from wine gala benefits Tulsa YWCA

Elaine Honig of Honig winery, Rutherford CA, at left, created Wine, Women and Shoes as a way to benefit the program at the YWCA of Tulsa that educates and empowers women. Local wineries donated wines, dinners and auction packages to help the cause. Among them was Cabin Creek Winery of Big Cabin, OK and its owners Scott and Pamela Harris, pictured at right. They were able to raise nearly $3000 for the YWCA with their auction package--a personal tour of their vineyards, including tastings of wines not yet released, sharing of the expertise of Randa Warren, Oklahoma's only master sommilier and food by Melissa Patrick of Clanton's in Vinita, OK.
