World's First Titanic Sand Sculpture
From Thursday, Sept. 20-Sunday, Sept. 23, guests are invited to watch award-winning sculptors shape a Titanic masterpiece out of a 15-ton mountain of sand. When completed, the sculpture will measure more than 20 feet from stem to stern and tower more than eight feet above Titanic's beach area. Tips will be given on how to build sand castles along with a hands-on experience. Free.
Nationwide Children's Talent Contest Auditions
Auditions sponsored by Oscar Mayer and American Idol will take place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Oct. 6-7 and from noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 8-9 for kids ages six and older. The winner will star in Oscar Mayer commercials and receive a college scholarship worth $20,000. Additional contest info may be found here.
First Class Celebrity Wine Tasting Event
Save Saturday, Oct. 13 from 7-10 p.m. to attend an evening of elegance and style aboard ship. Guests of honor will be Michael Gelman, wine aficionado and executive producer of Live with Regis and Kelly and his wife, TV personality Laurie Gelman.
Titanic Princess Tea Party
Come to this mother/daughter event from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14 and learn how to run a tea party. Etiquette rules, proper manners, place-setting protocol, pouring techniques and refined behavior will be served along with finger sandwiches, sweet delicacies and fine English tea. One-hour bookings are for 100 ladies and include a Titanic tour. The Saturday, Oct. 13 event has been sold out; so, hurry to make your reservations.
Father Christmas Visits
Throughout December Father Christmas will drop anchor at the Titanic. Visitors to the museum will find him holding court at the Grand Staircase for children to convey their Christmas wishes.
