Police Blotter: Advance America branch is robbed blewis
Updated: 2009-08-19 20:42:44
Joplin Police were dispatched at 11:14 a.m. today in response to a robbery that had just occurred at Advance America, a cash advance business located at 1900 E. 32nd St.

A suspect described as a black male, 5"5" and of a thin build left the scene with an undetermined amount of cash after threatening the use of a gun that he did not display. The suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt and gray sweatpants.

Detectives were on the scene with a K-9 unit in an effort to find evidence the suspect may have left behind in order to track him.
