Joplin Police Blotter: Child porn arrest made

Detectives with the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crime Task Force executed a search warrant on April 20, 2010, at 6290 County Lane 185 in Joplin. The search warrant was the result of a five-month undercover investigation conducted by Joplin Police Department Cyber Crimes Detective Chip Root regarding the possession and distribution of child pornography.

The Joplin cyber crimes detective was assisted in executing the search warrant by cyber crimes detectives with the Jasper County Sheriffs Office, Barry County Sheriffs Office and the Cassville Police Department and a special agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Arrested at the residence was 57-year-old Stephen M. Haldaman. Haldaman is currently being held at the Jasper County Jail pending charges of promoting child pornography and possession of child pornography.
