| Kelly Burton, M.ed., a child development instructor at Crowder College in Neosho, has been selected to serve on a national advisory committee under the auspices of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The announcement was made by Cynthia Arendt, chairperson of the human services cluster and director of the family and consumer sciences of Missouri's DESE.
The role of the national advisory committee is to help revise and update cluster standards and performance elements. Burton is assisting with the early childhood development and services content. The committee will share their conclusions at the 6th Annual National Career Clusters Institute to be held June 16-18, 2008, at the Marriott Atlanta Marquis.
