Crowder to host Pitch, Hit and Run for ages 7-14 c-brown
Updated: 2008-03-24 16:48:25-06
Crowder College Baseball on their field in Neosho will host a Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run Contest on Saturday, Mar. 29, 2008, immediately following a doubleheader versus Metropolitan Community College - Maple Woods. Approximate start time is 6 p.m.

Pitch, Hit & Run is established in geographic regions surrounding each Major League Baseball team market and is sponsored by Aquafina. The competition is for boys and girls ages 7-14 with participants paired in age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. Age is determined as of July 17, 2008. All participants must provide a copy of a valid birth certificate or baptismal record for age verification.

Youngsters may advance through three levels of competition--locals, sectionals, team championships--before being able to participate in the National Finals held during the All-Star Game. Advancing to the sectionals from each age group will be an all-round champion, runner up, third place winner, and pitching, hitting and running champions.

For more information contact Coach Travis Lallemand or Assistant Coach Garrett Crane at (417) 455-5626 or visit our website here for an official registration form and competition rules.
