Two members of the Lady Riders basketball team have been selected for the 2007-08 All-Region Second Team, according to an announcement from Crowder College in Neosho. Blaire Larson from Rogers, AR and Afton Baldwin of Nevada, MO, were selected by coaches in Region 16 for the honor.

"Blaire and Afton are very deserving of this honor," Coach Tina Robbins said. "Blaire led our team in scoring and really had a great second half of the season. We could count on her night in and night out to provide us with offensive fire power."

In scoring Larson gathered 185 points, just 18 under the leader on the top 10 list who was from top-scoring Three rivers Community College. Larson also was cited for her free throw average and assists.

"Afton really finished the season strong," Robbins said. "She is one of the best pure shooters in our region and we are expecting even greater things from her next season."

The overall record for the team was 8 wins and 5 losses.
