Tornado approaching? Run to Crowder College c-brown
Updated: 2008-11-17 11:23:42
Crowder College received word from FEMA recently that approval had been given to the college for the construction of a tornado safe structure. The total cost of the project is $2,909,282 with FEMA paying $2,181,962. Crowder College would pay 25% of the project or $727,320.

The 20,000 square foot building will provide 15,000 square feet of area that will qualify as a tornado safe area. The area will have a capacity of 3,000 people and will withstand winds of up to 180 miles per hour. The other 5,000 will be science labs and bathrooms.

Editor's note: Nice take...didn't MSSU only get FEMA taxpayer money for replacement of some trees?
