| Region 16 championship goes to Lady 'Riders | c-brown | | Updated: 2012-04-29 17:05:48 |  | | | The Crowder College Lady ‘Riders Softball Team captured the Region 16 Championship by defeating Three Rivers Community College, 5-1, in the Region 16 finals on April 29, 2012.
The Lady ‘Riders stayed on the winning side of the bracket defeating St. Charles by a score of 8-0, Three Rivers by 3-1 and 5-1, respectively. All-Region honors were announced prior to the tournament with the following players named for 1st Team - Morgan Coleman (Webb City, MO), Navada Campos (Pryor, OK), Jessica Neely (Nevada, MO), Brooke Hulsey (Neosho, MO), Carson Forge (Hallsville, MO) and Kaily Harvey (Rocky Comfort, MO); 2nd Team - Jessica Wirzberg (Coldspring, TX). Coach Lori Videmschek was awarded the Region 16 Coach of the Year after the tournament. |
