May 31, 2015
The Crowder College Board of Trustees met in a general work session recently in part to discuss actions taken during the 2015 legislative session that would impact the college. The meeting that took place on May 18, 2015, in the Newton Hall Conference Room on campus in Neosho preceded the regularly scheduled meeting in the Fireside Room.

Dr. Jennifer Methvin, Crowder president, highlighted that the $5.54 million in equity funding for community colleges would yield approximately $350,000 in additional revenue for Crowder with the $12 million additioanl approved by the House and Senate in performance funding yielding approximately $80,000 if Crowder met all performance measures.

Methvin also updated the board on the 50/50 money (HB 17) for the remodeling of the Hickey Building on the Webb City campus and the anticipated cash flow for upcoming months. Other administrative members present provided an update on the college's insurance program and other matters associated with the general operation of the college.
