JHS seniors are awarded record scholarship aid
May 11, 2011
Joplin High School seniors have been awarded $3,084,600.00 in scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year. It is $255,208 more that what the 2009-2010 senior class earned.

Every year our students apply to many of the best colleges and universities and are awarded some of the most prestigious scholarships in the country, said Dr. Kerry Sachetta, Joplin High School principal. This year was no exception and we are very proud to say the class of 2011 was awarded a significant amount of money as compared to other classes.

In addition to the amount awarded, two students have been accepted to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

The amount of scholarships accepted will vary from the amount awarded as students are still finalizing commitments to colleges and universities
