| The Farm Girl Fest 2010 at Red Oak II in Carthage will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 18 and from noon to 3 p.m. on September 19, 2010. Admission is free and the event is fun for the whole family.
Crafts demonstrated include basket weaving, old fashioned rope making, quilt making, soap making, wool spinning and learning the art of knitting, and old fashioned Dutch oven cooking. Also featured are a goat milking demonstration, horse drawn buggy rides, a petting zoo, and antique tractor show. Homemade ice cream will be sold.

Red Oak II is located on Kafir Road. From downtown Carthage go east on highway 96, 1-1/2 miles past Kellogg Lake, turn left (north) on CR-120 and go about one mile, turn left again on Kafir Road for 1/4 mile. Go Back |
