| The nursing staff of the Newton County Health Department is encouraging all area residents to get a seasonal influenza vaccination to protect against seasonal flu and the complications that accompany this illness.
Any person who wishes to avoid the seasonal flu or wishes to protect their family members from seasonal flu is encouraged to get a seasonal influenza shot. The cost for the seasonal flu vaccination will be $15 (cash or check) or free with Medicare coverage.
Seasonal influenza vaccinations will not be available for pregnant women. To obtain a seasonal influenza vaccination for a child six months of age or older, or to arrange a seasonal influenza vaccination for a child on Medicaid, please contact NCHD at (417) 451-3743.

Tuesday, Oct. 5: 9-10 a.m. - Hammons Center, Fairview; 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. - Community Center, Wentworth; 2-3:30 p.m. - Memorial Hall, Diamond
Wednesday, Oct. 6: 8-10 a.m. - Senior Center, Neosho; 1-3 p.m. - Fire Department, Redings Mill
Thursday, Oct. 7: 10-11:30 a.m. - City Hall, Seneca; 1:30-2:30 - Senior Center, Stella
Friday, Oct. 8: 9-11 a.m. - Fire Department, Granby
Tuesday, Oct. 12 until supplies run out: 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. - Newton County Health Dept., Neosho
