Panera presents 10th Pink Ribbon Bagel donation
November 30, 2011
Representatives from Panera Bread will present a check to the Hope 4 You Breast Cancer Foundation at a ceremony on December 1, 2011. During the first two weeks of October, Panera Bread sold their signature Pink Ribbon Bagel contributing 50-cents from the sale of each one to Hope 4 You.

In addition, 100% of the proceeds were donated from Pink Ribbon Bagel sales on October 10 from Panera, 2401 E. 32nd St. in Joplin. Its bakery caf sold over 18,000 pink ribbon bagels resulting in a donation to Hope 4 You of over $6200.

Sue Stees of Tulsa, one of Panera Breads first franchisees and a breast cancer survivor, developed the idea for the Pink Ribbon Bagel in 2001 as a way to support the cause. Since that time, the Pink Ribbon Bagel has become a national product supporting breast cancer organizations across the country.
