| The Joplin Police Department SWAT team served a search warrant on March 10, 2008 at 1123 W. 26th Street in Joplin for the Joplin Narcotics Unit.
After the residence was secured numerous items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine were recovered by narcotics officers inside a bedroom at that location.
Kevin Bates, 38, of that address was arrested for the manufacture of methamphetamine. A bag with a substance suspected to be methamphetamine was located on his person, and he was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Paperwork was sent to the Jasper County Prosecutors office for the filing of charges.
