| In honor of National Payroll Week, the American Payroll Association, Joplin chapter of Southwest Missouri, is sponsoring a free lunch for payroll professionals and their bosses. The event will take place at noon on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at the Bethany Presbyterian Church, 1930 Virginia Ave., Joplin.
Dr. Beverly Block, professor of business at Missouri Southern State University, will present a talk on business etiquette during a catered lunch provided by Imperial Catering. There will also be games and door prizes.
