February 29, 2012
The Quapaw Tribal Library is the only tribal library in Oklahoma to offer free audiobook, e-book, music and video downloads to its patrons. Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting and clicking on the online catalog link. Offerings include everything from new releases to the classics.

Users may browse the library's website, check out, with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac(r), and many mobile devices. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod(r), Sony(r) Reader(tm), and many others. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period therefore no late fees will ever be charged.

Library cards are available free of charge to Quapaw Tribal members world-wide as well as to the community at large. Quapaw Tribal Librarian Patricia Billings stated, "This is just another way our library is striving to reaching beyond our doors to serve more people, and provide greater access to information."
