Helmets still mandatory for motorcyclists
May 31, 2014
The Joplin Police Department wants to make sure that the public is aware that the state of Missouri requires motorcycle operators to wear their helmets when operating a motorcycle.

House Bill 1655 which would have made it an option to wear a helmet if you were 21 years of age or older, did not pass into law.

The failure of this bill was confirmed through State Representative Bill Whites office.
