Country swing CD now on sale duhozark
Updated: 2006-01-05 22:26:52
This jazzy western swing group from the Missouri Ozarks blends their love of western swing, honkytonkin' country, blues, dixieland and jazz to create their own unique style. Listen for hot steel guitar licks, classic twin fiddles jazz derived lead guitar, honkytonk keyboard, wailin' sax, bluesy harmonica and a complete big band horn sound including trumpets and trombone. The rhythm section includes a drivin' upright bass with a traditional western swing rhythm guitar and the drum styles of the swing era. It's this eclectic mix of instruments and music styles that the make the Jazzabillies unique and exciting!

"Show Me," the new CD produced by Q-Tone
features:

  • Starla (Watts) Queen from Bowling Green, MO

  • Jimmy Queen from Warrenton, MO

  • Scotty Henderson from Eldorado, KS

  • Dave Owens formerly of Nashville, TN

The group has a great sound and will remind you a lot of Bob Wills or Asleep at the Wheel big band sound --Robt. Partigianoni, Radio Louisiana

...I love the fact a person can actually clearly hear every musical instrument individually while enjoying the way they sound together. It's nice to hear such music - devoid of reverb-laden, loud drums and overcompressed mush..... --Michael Ray, Country Shufflemania Internet Radio

...they are hot stuff!! --Rascalita, ramradio.net

For samples of songs and to purchase an individual song for $1.25 each, a download for $10, or a CD for $18 go here.
