|The First Annual Leggett & Platt United Way Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, in the parking lot at L&P's corporate office, One Leggett Rd., Carthage. Featured will be the sale of arts and crafts as well as live music, a petting zoo, pumpkin patch, hayride, food vendors and games. Admission is free.
Booths are still available for local artists and crafters to sell their work. Sellers with art or craft fair experience are preferred, but not required. Merchandise can include paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, home accessories, clothing, quilts, garden art and more. Product representatives (such as Arbonne, Mary Kay, Thirty-One, Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, etc.) are welcome to rent a booth as well. Leggett & Platt also has game, activity or food booths available. Recognition will be given to the three booths with the most visitors.
To set up an arts-and-crafts booth at the Fall Festival, contact Nelda Patrick at (417) 358-8131, ext. 3774, or Andrea Hilgenberg at (417) 358-8131, ext. 2535, to set up a game, activity or food booth. The fee for a booth is $35, which directly supports United Way; each vendor keeps all profits from sales.
