Missouri River trail website is launched hfoster
Updated: 2007-06-18 16:01:51

JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Matt Blunt today launched an Internet site for the Missouri River Lewis and Clark Water Trail, which at 550 miles will be the longest river water trail in the country, traversing the state of Missouri from the Mississippi River in the east to an area around St. Joseph in the northwestern part of the state. The new site will serve as a gateway to information about the trail and includes trip planning tools, a guide to canoe and kayak rentals, paddling associations and campsites and a list of relevant educational materials. To access the site go here (www.missouririverwatertrail.org).

The new site is the culmination of a joint effort among the Departments of Conservation, Economic Development’s Division of Tourism and the Department of Natural Resources.
