Updated: 2007-12-26 18:17:45
An attorney at Lathrop & Gage, LC of Springfield has been appointed circuit judge for the 31st Judicial Circuit. Gov. Matt Blunt chose Michael J. Cordonnier, 50, to fill the opening created by the resignation and appointment of Donald E. Burrell to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District.

"Michael's vast legal experience and more than 25 years working in southwest Missouri will be an asset as he assumes the position of circuit judge," Gov. Blunt said."I am pleased that he has agreed to serve his fellow Missourians in this capacity."

Cordonnier holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia and juris doctorate from the University of Tulsa.
