Davis, 32 of Columbia, previously served as the director of the Missouri Legal Services Division and general counsel for the Department of Revenue. Davis also worked as deputy general counsel in the governor's Office and was securities enforcement council for Blunt when Blunt was Secretary of State. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kansas State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri School of Law.
Currently the deputy director for the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Smith, 48 of Sedalia, previously worked as director of legislative affairs in the Office of Gov. Blunt and served in the Missouri General Assembly from 1984-1994 and from 2002-2006. He was the presiding commissioner of Pettis County in between his service in the state legislature. He also worked in manufacturing and was co-owner of an advertising and public relations company.
