Greetings from the Neosho Forums jackd
Updated: 2009-12-31 16:29:09
To the editor:

We would like to thank the thousands of people who have supported our efforts to bring to light the good and not so good about our little community. The emails we recieve daily show that we, as a cohesive community, are on the right track in making a difference.

Our members are real people. Burger flippers, school administrators, teachers, professors, bankers, convenience store clerks, cops on the beat, lawyers, chemists, doctors, engineers and the list goes on. We all have a voice. Through the forums you have made your voice heard.

Those that try to hide their actions, and try to minimalize the impact you all have made through your posts and show of support have been put on notice. There's a newday coming and it will be a day of openness in city government. A day with fair treatment for all Neosho residents, not just the select few who seem to feel an entitlement to run roughshod over the real people who make up the majority in this, our unique little town.

Those that would continue the status quo, the back room boys, those few who are afraid of change are about to be swept out the door with their stale, self centered schemes and ideas.

We'd also like to thank the few, those very special few who through the years have stuck with us, supported us with much needed monetary contributions and advice. You know who you are and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have made the struggle easier. You are family.

Here's to a Happy New Year for each and every member!

- NEOSHO FORUMS

Editor's note: This site is helping to bring transparency to Neosho and Newton County government. In the past no one seemed to pay attention to what the local politicians did or else seemed to trust them blindly. Decisions were made. Recordkeeping was non-existent. Pockets had to have been stuffed. So, to keep this important site up and running, you might send whatever few bucks you are able to spare to: Jack Dickens, P.O. Box 72, Neosho, MO 64850
