Volunteers to restore M&NA caboose jballard
Updated: 2009-12-03 09:58:39
This early wooden Frisco caboose now has a home at the Wheaton Depot Museum of the Wheaton (MO) Historical Society thanks to community volunteers. After the Country Caboose donated the railcar, John Holloway, owner of Garfield Storage & Transfer of Purdy, donated a truck and driver, Tri-State Motor Transit of Duenweg donate the use of a couple of forklifts and a truck and driver for the caboose and several others helped with the rigging. Depot volunteers plan to restore the caboose to its original M&NA colors and markings. The M&NA served Wheaton from 1908 to 1946.
