UPDATE: Greg Connelly, 34, from Joplin was the man identified who was found dead last week in a car inside the Wendy's parking lot on Aldersgate in Nixa. The severely decomposed body discovered in the back seat of a Chevrolet Malibu was identified using dental records. The cause of death is still under investigation. Nixa Police are seeking information from the public regarding a deceased person found in the back seat of a vehicle Thursday morning.

On June 23, 2016, at 7:56 a.m.,the Nixa Police Department received a report of a maroon Chevrolet Malibu parked in the parking lot of Wendys in Nixa with a deceased person lying down in the back seat. It was reported that the vehicle had been sitting in the parking lot for several days.

Officers are currently on scene investigating the incident. Anyone with any information about this reported incident please contact the Nixa Police Department at (417) 582-1030 or call 911.
