The beautiful wild Prairie Gentian is bloomly profusely along the Gayfeather Trail in Prairie State Park. This probably is due to all the rain prior to September. The flowers are located in Missouri's largest remaining tall grass prairie with 4,000 acres. The park is located 16 miles west of Lamar, off Hwy. 160, north on Route NN to Central Road in Barton County.
