Wedding reception selection made easy kyla
Updated: 2009-02-14 18:27:10
'Planning a wedding and still haven't found a place for your guest to dance the night away? Come and join the Metropolitan Reception Tour and find the perfect place. Nine local reception and wedding venues will open their doors from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009 for the biggest day of open houses in the Springfield wedding community. Each location will be set up extravagantly so you can visualize your wedding there. Not only will you be able to view the site but there will be bakeries, caterers, wedding coordinators, florists and entertainers on site as well. Everyone participating can help you put together the perfect reception team.

Venues on the tour are: Affinity Ballroom, The Diamond Room, Mansion at Elfindale, Mille's Cafe, Samuel Cedars, Wellington Place, Wellington South, University Plaza Expo and the 910 Ballroom at the Executive Conference Center.

Anyone who visits all nine venues will be entered into a drawing for a Photobooth package from Affinity Ballroom. For a tour map go here.

Tickets are $3 each and may be purchased in advance at the following retailers: Paper World, 2726 S. Glenstone; The Wedding Collection, 3107 S. Campbell; and Total Bride & More, 1454 E. Sunshine St.

For more information phone (417) 888-2900.
