Memorial Hall tickets available new location l-onstot
Updated: 2008-09-09 10:18:19
Officials with Joplin Memorial Hall have announced that tickets for events scheduled at Joplin Memorial Hall will now be available for purchase at the Joplin Athletic Complex (JAC), 3301 West 1st Street. This ticket location is in addition to the ticket Office at Memorial Hall, 212 West 8th Street.

Tickets may be purchased at the JAC seven days a week during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., March 1 through September 30, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 1 through February 28. Memorial Hall Ticket Office is open from 9 a.m. to noon, and 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“This new location for ticket sales will be helpful to many of our customers,” said Beth Peacock, event manager of Memorial Hall. “The entrance to the JAC is on the south side of the Pro Shop, and provides a level walkway with few stairs. As many know, the ticket office at Memorial Hall is on the third floor, requiring a slight distance to walk from the parking lot. We hope our citizens will take advantage of this new convenient location.”

Tickets for events may also be purchased online here or by telephone at (417) 623-3254.

Upcoming events at Memorial Hall include Brawl at the Hall on October 4 and Larry the Cable Guy on November 9; the Moscow Ballet presents The Great Russian Nutcracker on December 1. Other community activities and events also are planned during this time as well.

Memorial Hall is a large community venue available for rent by community groups and organizations, businesses or entertainment companies. It seats nearly 3,000 people. The hall was originally built in 1924 as a memorial to the men and women of Joplin who served in the Armed Services. [And we sure would like to see this building replaced. --Ed.]
