Zora Street access to Main will be closed l-onstot
Updated: 2012-03-03 09:26:31
Starting March 12, 2012, Zora Street from St. Louis Avenue to Main Street will be closed. This closure will be in place until the North Main Street (Route 43) and Zora Street interchange project is completed in mid-2013. Detours will be posted; planning on taking alternate routes is suggested.

This interchange will connect two sections of Zora Street by bridging over the railroad tracks just west of Main Street, and is designed to improve east-west traffic flow on Zora Street across Joplin's north side. It also will accommodate growth on the city's west side. The City of Joplin and Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) are working on this project. Work to build this interchange began several weeks ago with utility line relocation and brush clearing.
